Talking with Nora

Nora's been talking quite a bit lately. Between screaming gleefully at her purple elephant to chatting it up with her grandparents, she's got a lot to say. There are a couple of new videos posted if you'd like to listen in.

Attack of the Cat

This morning was supposed to be the third Mom and Baby Yoga class, but it turned into a bit of a fiasco when the tire on my car blew out on the highway. Nora and I made it off the highway and to a gas station safely, but I had a bit of trouble with the spare. I tried to get the spare tire out of the trunk, but no matter how hard I pulled, I couldn't get it out. And no, it wasn't bolted in! Frustrated, I called Roadside Assistance to come and change the tire. When they finally got the tire out, it turned out that the spare tire had a faulty patch in it, and while it held air, the repair man told me to get it repatched before driving back home. Ughh!

It was about 11 a.m. by this point, and the Wal-Mart he referred me to was right near the hospital where I go for yoga. I decided to head there real quick to get Nora weighed at the breastfeeding support group that follows. She now weighs 11 lbs. 8 oz! She's getting bigger everyday! After group, I went to grab a bite of lunch with some friends from the group where my friend's two-year old puked all over the place. Ick. Now covered in puke and road grease, I headed to Wal-Mart where they took an hour to do nothing at all to the tire according to the receipt. Nice.

It was 3:30 by the time I finally got home. Nora and I were playing on the floor, and Eli was enjoying a game of hide and attack with his yellow ball. He was having a mighty good time, so I decided to record a 20 seconds of Eli video. As you watch the video, remember - this is a 17lb cat. That might help explain the abrupt ending.

What you don't see is Eli veering to the left and running down the stairs like a cat possessed. He is psycho!
